Youthful Exuberance, Maturity and Eternity

I love the book of Ecclesiastes. It’s definitely one of my favorite books to read in the Bible. I was thinking about this year, my age(I’m in my late teens at the moment) and just life in general. Apparently some argue that the 12 disciples of Jesus were in their teens when they decided to follow Jesus! I’m not sure how true that is, but what i do definitely believe is that they were below 30.

On Maturity…

In society today, people are either classified as babies, children, teens or adults. However i think the expectation of maturity greatly differs in various parts of the world. Someone else suggested that Mary the mother of Jesus was in her late teens(16-20) when she was pregnant to give birth to Jesus and betrothed to be married to Joseph. This also is a huge shock to me! Coming from Nigeria, in my opinion and from my perspective, there’s a lower expectation for teenagers to be mature in that context(Seems that way to me!). Studying in the UK, my observation from amongst my friendship circles has been varied. Whilst some still doubt they believe in the institution of marriage, some are engaged to be married by 20/21. The latter has also been a huge culture shock to me as well! However, i greatly admire the fact that many start to work on paid jobs from their teenage years in the UK. I believe this helps to increase their self-confidence as well as expose young adults to the value of responsibility.

Ecclesiastes 12:1 would advice,

Remember your Creator
    in the days of your youth,
before the days of trouble come
    and the years approach when you will say,
    “I find no pleasure in them”

I remember we had this verse stuck somewhere on the wall, when i went to my Christian boarding school in Nigeria. Although i never really paid attention to it, these words are plaguing my mind once again today.

On Eternity…

It is a lie to believe that you won’t ever die. It’s not reality. It might be optimistic, but it’s not reality.  I want more than optimism, i want reality.  So why waste your time on what does not satisfy? It’s meaningless. Why waste your time clinging to the spirit of the age? It’s all fleeting, passing away quickly.

On Youthful Exuberance…

The young shall grow.  Youth is wasted on the young, says an online blog i read today. I don’t believe you have to be foolish because you’re young. I believe we need to call more young people to maturity rather than pampering them. Sadly, as a young teenager, i’ve been to so many christian youth groups that feed one another with video games and meaningless conversations. Don’t get me wrong- I believe there is a room for light talk and a bit of banter. However, i find that the older people get to be taught the ‘meaty’ stuff. There’s nothing as beautiful as seeing devoted and dedicated young people who have wisdom at a young age. I love reading about the lifestyle of John the Baptist- this man that was described by Jesus as a burning and a shining lamp, and the greatest man born of woman. This man lived a radical lifestyle of prayer, fasting and meditation on the Word, and was martyred at 30. That may look so foolish on this side of time but then Jesus would answer and defend this man’s life and say, ‘Wisdom will be justified by her children’.  In other ways, “I will vindicate this man’s lifestyle on that day. He will be great for billions and billions of years in the eternal city. You have said he is demonised, but i will openly declare the wisdom in this man’s choices. And though it seems like a short time to live in this present age, this man’s eyes are fixed on something more, something lasting of greater splendor, beauty, magnificence and glory”.

Fellowshipping with the Holy Spirit

Here’s a question for some thought: Why do we exist? Why are we alive? Why are you on a planet called earth that’s apparently in a galaxy called Milky Way by scientists. This galaxy is also apparently just one galaxy in a vast expanse that no man knows the ends of called the universe. What’s the point?

Did you ever know that you will never cease to exist. Okay so let’s fast forward to a billion years from now. Did you know you can make plans for a billion years from now?

If you’re a christian, i’m guessing you’re having some thoughts about possible answers to these questions. But i’ll like to ask- yeah we’ve been saved by Jesus, and we’ve been brought into the family of God. This is glorious! But why do we even have to be here now if God’s saved us already? God could have decided to take us straight to be with Him after He saved us but He chose not to.

I think the answer is very simple but easily forgotten. It is so easy to live under the sun, using Solomon’s words. It is so easy to be caught up in the daily activities of life, even as a Christian, without living a life of meaning. It’s so easy to be caught up in anxiety, distractions and the spirit of the age that blinds us to why we exist in the first place.

Jesus in His prayer to the Father declared, ‘Now this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent’. Wow there we go! This is the point of salvation. This is the point of life. It’s so simple that it is easy to forget. We exist and we will exist in eternity for the Knowledge of God.

I’ve been thinking about a certain aspect of living a life of meaning(The Knowledge of God). This is referred to as the Fellowship of the Spirit in scripture.

2 Corinthians 13:14 says-
May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.

I want to go straight to the point. I heard this quote from someone, ‘You walk in the Spirit as much as you talk to the Spirit’. Holy Spirit is the teacher, the helper, the Spirit of Jesus. Jesus said it was better than He went away because the Holy Spirit was coming. He said the Holy Spirit comes to dwell in us forever. Did you know in a billion years, even in your resurrected body, the Holy Spirit will still be living in you as a Teacher and Helper? Do you know God longs for you to talk to Him. We would refer to this as prayer. But why does He require us to ask Him for things before He gave us? James 4:3 clearly says we have not because we don’t ask. I believe God knows that when we talk to Him, and turn our attention to Him it opens up our inner man to encounter and connect with Him. Hence, prayer is more than religious activity. It is the way to a life of meaning. It is a way into fellowship with God. Prayer is life to the soul, as water is life to the body.

God created us for fellowship with Him. He created that interior world on the inside of you for His Presence to dwell and rest in. Just a simple practical exercise if you’re reading this. Close your eyes. Sit quiet before God. You see that interior screen, the interior world, the Holy Spirit is waiting there for you right now. God really does hear you when you talk. He’s more real than anything else is on the earth. Many times we know the doctrines of prayer, but now you get to apply it. You actually get to be a doer of the Word. There’s no time better than now. Your inner man is God’s garden. Jesus said so. He spoke about the planting of the Word into the heart(Luke 8:15). Now you may be wondering what to say to the Holy Spirit. Take the Word(you can try something as simple as Genesis 1:1 that talks about God being the Creator), and use it as conversation material. Also allow Him talk back to you. As we abide(talk to God) in God, God abides(talks to us) in us- John 15. I’m not saying you hear an audible voice(although He may decide to do that, the point is not about how He speaks but that He speaks). He’ll make you discern His Presence in a small way. Maybe He’ll give you a picture. Maybe He’ll whisper something in your spirit. However, we must make room for Him to talk back to us. Infact i would advice, to be quiet for longer than you actually talk. Just sit still in His Presence and allow Him wash you with His words. Gaze into the beauty of God like David. Become a Mary of Bethany that lives a life of one thing. Lean into Jesus like the Apostle John. Another practical advice- having music on the background can help. It helps me. But feel free to move along with where you’re sensing God is taking you.

As simple as it is- that is what fellowshipping with the Spirit is about. This is the the way to a vibrant heart, a renewed mind. If you want to change your emotional chemistry, this is the way. Even as the disciples on the road to Emmaus said their hearts burned within them as Jesus spoke to them. This is the way to the fullness of joy. This is the way to happiness. This is the way to peace. This is way to utter satisfaction, contentment. This is the way to encountering the love of God. Paul says that the Holy Spirit is the One that pours out the love of God in that inner space called the heart.

It’s so simple right? Yes that’s the point! Anyone can do it. Anyone can love God and fulfil the greatest commandment by living from the inside out. Now do it 🙂 Don’t just talk about it, do it. Schedule time to do this. If this is the point of life, then go after it with all your heart. Also, did you know if you spent your life doing this, there are eternal rewards? This is because the beginning to living a sermon on the Mount lifestyle(Matthew 5,6 & 7) starts with connecting with the Spirit of Jesus inside us. Jesus makes it very clear in several places in the Bible that we can lay up treasures in the age to come. He makes it clear that although He loves all believers equally, our greatness in eternity is not the same. Even Paul says our resurrected bodies are of varying glory, one like the Sun, and one like the Moon(1 Corinthians 15:41,42).This is how much God wants time with you! He’s in love with you! He wants you! I’ll end with Jesus’s exhortation to us as His disciples.

Matthew 6:25b- “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?“. Luke 10:41,42- “Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things, 42 but few things are needed—or indeed only one. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.

Stepping into 2013

Wow i can’t believe 2012 is over! Went quickly! I’ve also had this blog for over a year surprisingly :O. I just looked at my blog post last year on New Year’s Resolutions and i’m surprised with how my writing style has changed just in one year! Again, This has been the best year of my life so far! 😀

Its funny cause i remember saying the same thing at the end of 2011. And i remember saying the same thing at the end of 2010!

Seems like life keeps getting better and better by the year! :D. Why’s this?

Well, life always gets better with Jesus! I wouldn’t say i’ve had any major miracles this year. And i wouldn’t say i haven’t had many disappointments either. But really with Jesus you’re not affected by your circumstances at all. Your emotions don’t go up, down, left, right and centre. Its always JOY!

JOY UNSPEAKABLE AND FULL OF GLORY! The more you know Him, the more you love Him, the more you love life, the better life becomes. It doesn’t matter what happens in life- your eyes are always fixed on Jesus! You can’t take your eyes off Him cause He is beautiful! What a glorious thought!Its just like Paul said in Philippians 4:11-13,

11 I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. 12 I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. 13 I can do all this through him who gives me strength.

I’ve stepped into this place in my relationship with God that i never thought i’d be in. When i was 15 i never thought i’d one day be able to hear God’s voice all the time, 24/7. I never thought i’d stop being shy. I never thought i’d know what God’s plans for me are. Many many other glorious things have happened- too many i can’t list. Infact, at a point, i felt as if God was doing so much work in me that i started to get confused. I tried to keep record of everything but it was just impossible!

Can’t wait for next year! Maybe there’s an important lesson i’ve learnt so far. Took me 2010, 2011 and 2012 to learn this- but thank God i finally have 😀

Life always gets better with Jesus! So i know 2013 will be better! Don’t know exactly how i’ll dance to the heartbeat of the Father, but i’ll dance with Him through it all! Fix your eyes on Jesus as you step deeper into the river of God in 2013. 🙂

You Have Won Me

I believe that every Christian has a special message to give to the body of Christ. A message unique to that individual. A life message on one of the qualities of who God is. A divine experiential revelation of the character of God.
I listened once to Kim walker (in case you don’t know she is a singer for the worship band, Jesus Culture) preach a message about what worship meant to her. There was something she shared in that message I have never heard from anyone else. I had never heard anyone else describe that aspect of God like she did. And this wasn’t something deeply theological. It was very simple, but it was beautiful. She spoke about this offense we can sometimes have that prevents us from connecting to God the way we should as his kids. What she shared touched my heart in a way that left me speechless.
I would like to give a piece of my heart to the world today by maybe sharing some of my friendship experiences with the Father. All my life I have always heard, ‘Jesus loves you’. Yes I knew that in my head but when it came to my heart, I wasn’t quite sure I understood. It didn’t make it better for my head when I read the verse where David writes a love letter from his heart to the Father and he said, ‘Your loving-kindness is better than life’. For the first time, my head didn’t understand something that my heart did. In the past this was always the complete opposite but No, not anymore. This was the turning point in my life. My heart could understand what my head couldn’t. I knew His loving-kindness was better than life. I knew in my heart that He really did love me.
From that day onward, I started having a very deep intimate fellowship as the Son brought the Father to sup with me. During these times when His presence was so thick around me, the Father started to pour his love abroad in my heart by His Holy Spirit. I started to know there was more than I knew. There was more about this God I had never known. At the centre of His very being was love. I started to realize that when John said God himself is love, he wasn’t merely writing some words from his head. He was speaking of a mystery that had been revealed in his heart. A mystery that existed before the foundation of the world. The mystery of the love that existed between the Father and the Son even before they even thought to create the heavens and the earth. I started to realize that God didn’t create everything he did just because he was lonely. Love was shared between the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The Lord started to teach me about the movements of his heart when there was no one and nothing but the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. Daily, the Son was the Father’s delight. His heart was moved by the heart of His only begotten beloved son in whom His very self was pleased. He started to invite me to look into the pleasures of His heart. He started to show me what really mattered to Him. When Moses asked him to show him His glory how did He show Moses His glory? The Lord declared the name of the Lord as He said, ‘THE LORD! THE LORD! A GOD MERCIFUL AND GRACIOUS, SLOW TO ANGER, AND ABUNDANT IN LOVING-KINDNESS AND TRUTH’. I started to behold the glory of the Father in Jesus. The same glory he showed to Moses, except something more superior, as He had demonstrated His love in sending down His well beloved son to die for a stupid sinner. Imagine the horrors of separation of Jesus from His Father. Imagine how difficult it was for the Father to turn his face away and see His beloved crucified by sinners. Not any type of death, but death on a cross! The worst type of death that any man could have. Cursed is the man that is hung on a tree. The very creator was hung on the cross by his creation and was cursed to redeem His creation from the curse of the fall at the beginning. The Holy Spirit testified about these things to me. But not in a way to impart me with mere theological knowledge, but in a way that the knowledge of the love of Christ- the depth, height , breadth, width, was being revealed to my heart.
I believe it is crucial to every Christian to come to a revelation on the love of God. When you start to know how much God loves you, you start to love him more the way you should, then you start to love yourself the way he loves you, and lastly love other people as much as you love yourself. This was the whole point of all the laws in the Old Testament. They were given because God cared about his people and he loved them. They were not given because God wanted to make it hard for man to obey Him. This was why Jesus said the summary of all the Old Testament laws was love.
I had another experience that changed the way I viewed God totally. There was a time I was not sure if God heard me when I prayed. I thought to myself, ‘He’s so busy with the whole world I doubt if he actually hears me when I talk’. And I know God is omnipresent and He has promised that he is always with us, but I just didn’t believe it. I never said it out but I kept thinking this in my heart. One afternoon, as I was thinking like this again, the Holy Spirit said quietly, ‘I formed you with my own hands in your mother’s womb. I know you more than you can ever imagine’. After he said that, I had this vision of the Father forming me in my mother’s womb. As he formed me he was so deeply focused on what he was doing. He would even smile and was so fascinated by what He was doing. Then after he formed a part of me, he would pause and he would be so full of joy by that part of me. This was just like when He created the universe and He always stopped to behold what he had created and the Bible says, ‘He saw that it was good’. Even to the last detail as He formed the hairs of my head, He would take his time on each of them. This experience showed me the true meaning of what Jesus spoke about when He said we were of more value than sparrows and that the very hairs of our heads are numbered. Of course He knew that because he counted them himself alongside His Father. The experience also showed me the depth of the revelation the psalmist spoke about when He wrote,

‘Oh yes, you shaped me first inside, then out; you formed me in my mother’s womb. I thank you, High God- you’re breathtaking! Body and soul, I am marvelously made! I worship in adoration-what a creation! You know me inside out, you know every bone in my body; You know exactly how I made, bit by bit, how I was sculpted from nothing to something. Like an open book, you watched me grow from conception to birth; all the stages of my life were spread out before you, The days of my life all prepared before I’d even lived one day’(- Psalm 139:13-16 The Message Version). Lastly, the experience also showed me how concerned God is with my entire life. Not just the things I talk about but the things he hears me whisper to myself in my heart.

The love of God can never be overemphasized. It is something the bride of Christ has to be rooted into to bring her into her full glory- without spot, wrinkle of blemish.

A Bid from the Great Shepherd to His Precious Sheep

I am waiting for you; Come away with me

Let us have a good time and have a chat; Let Me quiet your soul and calm your storms

I am very close to you. All you need to do is look within you

Let us go into the garden like we used to in the beginning and let us have sweet fellowship together

My sheep listen to my voice and they heed to my call

Forget all your passions and desires. Lay your earthly crowns before me; For i have a better one

Come away from the lion’s Den of temptation and dwell with Me

Its going to be fun, wild, exciting and amazing

Open up your heart and let me in

That the King of glory might come in

For the earth is Mine and the fullness of it. The world and they that dwell in it

This is the generation of those who seek Me

They shall receive a blessing from the Lord and righteousness from the God of their salvation

Let us conquer the nations together

Let me feed you with My strength and power

Let me clothe you with My garment of Righteousness

Let me satisfy your thirst with my sweet attractiveness and the delightful loveliness of my presence

Come away with Me



Are You A Burning One?

I cannot begin to overemphasise how much the riches of the inheritance of believers are. The Bible says we are joint heirs with Christ. Everything He has belongs to us. Including his suffering. We should always feel privileged to be considered worthy of suffering for Christ because God has promised great things for ones like those.

In light of the many revelations the Holy Spirit has given me recently from the word of God, my faith in God has really been propelled to unbelievable levels. I have been trying to get informed with the revivals around the world; both past and present. I have looked at the Jesus Culture website and trust me, the work God is doing in that ministry is amazing! God has told me specifically He is pouring out His Spirit amongst young people and that word has been a major propeller for my interest in past and present revivals in the church. God is building up a holy generation. The Bible says all christians are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people. In case you don’t understand the depth of what a royal priesthood is i will try and explain it a bit. You are royalty because you are a child of the King of Kings. You are a prince/princess. Infact, right now, whether you feel it or not, you are seated together with Christ in the heavenlies. The moment a christian comes to understand this great mystery is the day the nations will be shaken.

I have been so consumed by the love of God and His faithfulness that i just want to offer my entire life as a sacrifice to Him. This should be the same for all christians. We are set apart. We must separate ourselves from the things of the world. We must give ourselves as sacrifices to the service of God. We must be consecrated ones. Priests unto God to shake the earth and declare forth the glory of the Most High. We must be dedicated to Him. Sanctified for His glory. When Jesus prays to His Father in John 17 He says: ‘I have given and delivered to them Your word and the world has hated them, because they are not of the world.’ We must always keep at the back of our minds always that we don’t belong here. Our Home is in heaven. Remember the child of whom you are always. You are Yahweh’s child. Jesus goes on to say: ‘Sanctify them by the Truth; Your Word is Truth’. Jesus asked His Father to separate His children for Himself. To consecrate them and make them holy ones.

I have had to learn to separate myself totally from the things of the world these few days and God has been faithful to clothe me with power by His Spirit to do His will. The truth is God sees our hearts. And if you really want to do His will and you cry out to Him for help, He’ll empower you and give you grace to overcome sin and kill the flesh. He will restore your mortal body back to life by the power of His Spirit. The Spirit of Holiness lives in you, and He wants to use you as a vessel to declare the glory of God in the earth.

Anyway, part of what God has been teaching me is how to be violent for the kingdom. The Bible says violent men seize the kingdom of heaven by force. In the amplified Bible in brackets it says: ‘A share in the heavenly kingdom is sought with the most ardent zeal and intense exertion’. God has been playing back His words to me for a long time and He said to me, ‘You will find me when you seek me with all your heart and your soul and mind and life’. And that is how i’ve been seeking God now. We must learn to get into the secret place with God everyday. The secret place for me is where i have my meeting with God quietly and alone. Its been an awesome experience for me these past weeks. God has taught me to sit down and have a meeting with Him and seek Him till He says something. Jacob was alone in the secret place when He wrestled with God. God is looking for someone to wrestle with Him and say, ‘I will not let you go until you bless me’, just like Jacob said to Him. That is Holy Violence. Interestingly i saw in Romans 15:30 where Paul wrote, ‘I appeal to you brethren for the sake of our Lord Jesus Christ and by the love [given by] the Spirit, to unite with me in earnest wrestling in prayer to God in my behalf’. After i read this i thought to myself, ‘Wrestling in prayer to God?’. I checked the original greek word and it was sunagonizomai. The greek word agonizomai means to fight. God wants us to seek His face and cry out to Him for help. He wants us to have the same attitude that Jacob did. He wants us to take it as far as even when He afflicts us like He did to Jacob, we refuse to let Him go, and demand His help.

I have limited the power of God for so long and i believe it has come to the time God wants to show off. I went to a prayer meeting sometime ago and whilst we were praying i had a closed vision of three demons looking at a man who was surrounded by a hedge. I wondered what this was so i told the rest of the church. I’ve been praying about this and i believe God is about to start something like never before. Look around the world today. Great darkness has covered the earth due to the prince of the power of the air. As prophecied in Isaiah 60:22 For behold, darkness shall cover the earth, and dense darkness [all] peoples, but the Lord shall arise upon you [O Jerusalem], and His glory shall be seen on you.  I really believe that christians need to wake up! The apostles were described by the people in their days as ‘men that shook the world’. That is what we should be as Christians. God is doing something in the earth right now that you don’t want to miss out on. You are the light of the world! The Bible says that Nations will come to the light of Zion and kings to the brightness of her light. You are a citizen of Zion. Submit yourself to the service of God. I’m looking forward to travelling to Nigeria this summer because there are people the devil are oppressing there. I know God doesn’t want this and i honestly can’t wait to cast out those devils in the name of Jesus. The sick will be healed and the lame shall walk! The blind men will see and if you were born without legs you will have to grow legs! All the islamic wars will have to stop when christians get down on their knees and cry out for deliverance from the God of Jacob. Our God is a great God and there is nothing hard for Him to do! He is looking for people to ask Him for big things and seek Him with all their hearts. He is shaking the nations! Jesus said if anyone believes in Him, they will do the things that He did; and they will do even greater things. I want those greater things! They that wait upon the Lord shall never be put to shame. The prophets in 1 Kings 18 hid in the caves! God wants His people to come out of the caves! He wants to start something great. Greater than you can ever imagine! I am a burning one! Burning with the fire of God for revival and for the nations to be healed! Go into the secret place! For the judgement of God starts with His household!

2 Chronicles 2:14 says: 14 If My people, who are called by My name, shall humble themselves, pray, seek, crave, and require of necessity My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land.


I don’t want anything without a revelation!


It just struck me how many christians read the Bible and see it just as a story or a few words. I remember trying to get on with one of those ‘Bible in a year’ plans. At the end of it i just gave up. The Bible actually bored the living daylight out of me to be honest. I was trying to tick the boxes. ‘Oh i’ve read 5 chapters today yay’.. But then i was struggling. Another way i’ve tried to read the Bible in the past as a young immature christian was to open it randomly and read the first thing i saw. It was like a magic trick. I closed my eyes then opened the Bible; the first thing i saw was what God wanted to say to me lol. I remember hearing a joke from Joyce Meyer once. She said she used to do the same thing in the past, and then one day she opened it and it was somewhere in lamentations she read, ‘WOE BE UNTO YOU, YOU WICKED SINNER’. I couldn’t help but laugh to that cause i could relate to it entirely.

For others, the Bible is just to be read on a sunday. For the rest of the week it gets dusty. Don’t make me get you lol. Don’t think you would ever have a glimpse of an idea of who God is if you read the Bible just on sundays, and listen to a sermon from the pastor at your church!

I’m not saying getting ‘read through the Bible in a year’ plans won’t work out for you. It will work out for you, if you have the right motive behind it. If its just an exercise out of compulsion, or out of the fact that you want to make God happy with you, then its a waste of time. God doesn’t need you to read your Bible to be happy with you. You are not doing Him a favor. Reading your Bible just on sundays is definitely not how you can grow in the knowledge of God too. I might as well just add now that if there’s anything in your life that you’re using to replace the time you need to spend with God to know Him more, then there’s a problem. Work God around your schedule not your schedule around God. If anything needs to leave your schedule on a daily basis, it mustn’t be God.

I had tried all these methods in the past so i know how it is. And sometimes people really do want to read the word and get into it. Sometimes they really want to, but they can’t. Its almost like they’re striving.

I believe that strivings should never exist in a good relationship with God. Many times we get caught up trying to do things by ourselves, instead of relying on the power of God. You want to have faith? You don’t need to practice methods or routines; Cry out to God, ‘HELP MY UNBELIEF’. You truly from your heart want to spend time with God? And read His word? Cry out to Him, ‘Lord i need you!’. Prayer must always be the first line of action if we want a good relationship with God. God gives grace(the power of the Holy Spirit), and more grace to the humble. He wants you to realise you can’t do it on your own and you need Him to help you. You cannot kick the Holy Spirit out of your daily businesses. If you do, everything crumbles down. When Jesus left his disciples He gave them the Holy Spirit, to be with them. He is your counselor, helper, intercessor, advocate, stand-by, and strengthener.

We must never read any verse in the Bible without a revelation. No, not even a word. I know about quite a lot in the Bible now, but i don’t know them. The difference between knowing them and knowing about them is the revelation. The revelation from the Spirit of God. The breath of God upon every word you read, imparting a spiritual knowledge to you; revealing the great and mighty mysteries of the Godhead. This was why Paul prayed for the corinthians that they might have a Spirit of wisdom and revelation. Without a revelation the Bible is just words and stories. I have an agnostic friend who has read the entire Bible but still doesn’t believe in God. Without the breath of God, the word is not living to you. The Bible says God has exalted all His word above all His name. Think of all the mighty names of God, His word is respected more by Him than His names. The word of God is Life to your bones, and to your soul. You would know when you have a revelation from the word because you would never remain the same after. It is not about singing ‘Jesus loves me yes i know for the Bible tells me so’. Do you really know He loves you? That type of knowledge comes with revelation. And it was not until i had a revelation on the love of God i could describe the love of God as a mighty flood that fills all your being, and tears you apart. His love is fierce, it shakes you together. It transforms you and moves you into His presence. It leaves you with hunger and thirst for more of Him.

Don’t ever read any part of the Bible without a revelation. Ask God for a revelation and He will give you.

Deuteronomy 4:29 (AMP)- 29 But if from there you will seek (inquire for and require as necessity) the Lord your God, you will find Him if you [truly] seek Him with all your heart [and mind] and soul and life.
